Storia D’amore: Tiramisú Number 67,370

I had Tiramisú number 67370 at Storia D’amore in Bogotá, and I will treasure it for a long time.

One of my favorite desserts is the creamy and delicious Tiramisú. The best I’ve ever had was made by my wife at home, and when I see a place where I think it’s possible to get a good one, made as the recipe deserves, I try it. I have tried that dessert everywhere: from the Lemon Tiramisú on the Amalfi Coast at the Sal De Riso patisserie, to Italian restaurants in Venezuela like Come a Casa or the classic da Gaby and Tony in Chacao, and in several other cities around the world (maybe I should write a Top 10 ).

The thing is that when I went to discover the Storia D’amore restaurant in Bogotá, I knew the place was good, but I didn’t imagine that all the dishes would have a story behind them, much less that the Tiramisu would be so special.

Storia D’amore is in the T Zone of Bogotá, it is a three-story place with different ambiances, and it began as a small restaurant with a fairly limited menu, which grew and with that its locations. Particularly seeing that at the entrance they had not one but about eight wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, I ordered the famous linguini a la ruotta, which did not disappoint at all.

And what about the Tiramisú?

But what about Tiramisú? It is obvious that I ordered it for dessert, at the suggestion of my friend Ariel Plabnik who had visited the place a couple of days before, and it turns out that this Tiramisú, in addition to being delicious, comes with a number, it was numbered.

Each piece that is cut is accompanied by a postcard with a unique number, and like a work of art that is made in series, like a screen print or a statue from which the artist made a cast, each of these desserts has a number that identifies it.

I had the Tiramisú #67,370, and I took my postcard home, it really was a moment in time and a flavour that I will treasure for a long time.
